Where to buy a Nintendo Wii console without paying extra

By now, we all know it is hard to buy a Wii console these days. Besides trying your luck at local stores, such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart or Target, or paying extra on eBay, here let me share my experience with you how I got three ($249.99 each) within 3 weeks.

Thanks go to Wii Alerts, a free web site tracking availability of Wii console at on-line stores and sending out emails or cell phone text messages. Facing huge demand, Wii consoles only stay in stock for 10 min. or so.  Therefore, cell phone text message altert sent out by Wii Alerts becomes so critical. To sign up for such service, please go to http://wiialerts.com/cell_subscribe.php. In addition, having credit card number and shipping address stored at Amazon.com or a few others will give you an advantage.  Once you received the alerts, the only things left to do are to sign in and make sure product and price are right ($249.99 for a Wii console, a Wii Sports game, a remote controller and a Nunchuk controller) and place order.  It is good idea to have an additional remote controller and Nunchuk controller, which can be ordered separately or with Wii Play package afterwards and picked up at any Circuit City or Best Buy store. 

Good game I heard are Super Mario Galaxy, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Bundle, Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree, and Wii Fit (due out next year).  Good luck.
